At the penultimate race weekend in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Silverstone, BMW works driver Andy Priaulx celebrated the sixth win of the season for his team West Surrey Racing.
In the second race of the weekend at this legendary track, Andy held on for 22 laps to cross the finish line first in his IHG Racing BMW 125i M Sport. His two team-mates Sam Tordoff and Robert Collard also made it into the top ten, finishing in sixth and ninth. Priaulx started the first race on Sunday from the back of the grid and finished in 23rd. Collard and Tordoff finished in seventh and tenth.
Andy is now ninth in the driver points standings with his Team IHG Rewards Club in sixth for the team standings. The final race of the season will be October 10–11 at Brands Hatch.—Nate Risch
