The Peachtree Chapter's high-performance-driving school at Road Atlanta, set for March 5–6, will have a couple of special guests. BMW Performance Center driving instructor Mike Renner and BMW NA's M Performance accessory specialist, Jake Mooney, will be in attendance. They will be bringing a BMW M3—and a new BMW M2! Both are fully outfitted with M Performance parts.

The cars will not only be on display though, as Mike Renner will be offering track rides in his trusty M3 and the hot new M2 coupe. Due to the popularity of this opportunity, Mike will not be able to accommodate everyone, thus rides will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Jake Mooney will be hosting a BMW M Performance Tech Session during the HPDE where he will cover the new performance products offerings and will be able to answer any questions you may have. And for those of you that like to outfit more than just your BMW, Jake will be revealing new items from the M Lifestyle collection for the first time in the States!

The M Performance Parts product portfolio for the all-new M2 coupe features an extensive range of aerodynamic components made of carbon-fiber including front and side sill attachments, rear diffuser, and mirror caps. To further enhance handling, the BMW M2 Coupé can be fitted with the BMW M Performance coil-spring suspension which can lower the car up to 25 millimeters. Not only can you lower the suspension, but the shock absorbers can also be adjusted to 16 levels in the rebound stage and 12 in the compression stage. This means the driver can create his own suspension set-up according to personal preference.

To make sure that all of this increased performance is not lost on the driver, BMW also offers the M Performance Pro steering wheel.  With grip areas covered in Alcantara and shaped with a harder foam body than the standard steering wheel, this results in a better grip and a more precise steering feel. It also has a light blue central marking at the 12 o’clock position.
