Arguably the most controversial of Bangle and van Hooydonk's work was the E65 7 Series, a sharp contrast to the preceding E38 generation which was conservatively styled.
In fact, van Hooydonk's original 1998 sketch for the E65 was a much more radical sleek fastback, but the final design was toned down considerably to resemble a more conventional three-box sedan.

I have had this car since 2005. It was my daily driver until 2018. Since then, it has not been driven much because I no longer have the need to drive as much. I performed nearly all the maintenance when needed. With this sale I am including many new parts (for projects I intended to do) as well as many used parts that are listed below. You are looking at the only Z3 Coupe produced in NA in this configuration. From 1998 to 2002, only 2,071 Non-M Coupes were produced. Out of 2,071, only 50 were produced in Hellrot-2 exterior color and only 1 with Extended Walnut with 5 speed manual transmission. The Hellrot-2/Extended Walnut combination is absolutely stunning and it really stands out among all the Z3's and Z3M coupes out there.
